Recently, the Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, together with other government departments, staged a launching ceremony in Futian district, introducing a volunteer service team to help manage pet dogs in the city.

To increase the professionalism of the team, they will receive training in pet registrations, vaccinations, and basic veterinary treatment, among other areas. From September of this year, the team will offer various services in communities, including providing advice to residents on how to properly raise their dogs and register them through a QR code.

According to officials, this is the first time that volunteers have been recruited to assist in the management of pet dogs in China, and the move is aimed at helping solve social issues related to pet dog management and attracting more residents to join the team.
