Chinese Delegation Hit Over 40 Golds

Yesterday gold medals for the Chinese delegation hit over 40, with He Chong, a diving athlete from Guangdong, claiming his title, bringing the total to 43, which still made China clinch top in the medal list, followed by the United States 26 and Great Britain with 16 golds.

 

Chinese Lu Chunlong won the men's trampoline gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games yesterday (Aug 20th). Lu scored the winning 41.00 points, while Canadian Jason Burnett had the silver scoring 40.70 and Dong Dong of China got the bronze in 40.60.

 

 

 

Regarding the competition in the gym event, Shawn Johnson of the United States won beam title at Olympic gymnastics tournament on Tuesday.

 

 

Chinese ace gymnast Li Xiaopeng won the parallel bars gold medal on Tuesday at the Beijing Olympics, proving his strong comeback to the podium at the highest level.

 

 

Zou Kai of China won the horizontal gold medal at the Games yesterday. Zou Kai scored 16.200 points for the gold, the ninth for the Chinese gymnastics team at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

 

 

British cycling athletes swept up two goals, Chris Hoy, a cycling talent, finished his hat trick at Beijing Olympics, bagging his third personal gold and the seventh for Britain in the final of men's sprint.

 

 

Victoria Pendleton of Britain won the women's sprint cycling Olympic gold medal.

 

 

Today 11 goals will be made in the Beijing Olympic events, including track and fields and sailing.
