Meanwhile, Guangdong's Sports Administration revealed on Tuesday (Aug 4th) that construction work on nearly all Asian Games sports venues is going smoothly. The Guangzhou Asian Games will be held not only in Guangzhou, but also in Foshan, Shanwei and Dongguan. More from our reporter Wang Jianping. "Currently constructions on five venues are underway in the Province, including the swimming and diving hall, tennis court, and the stadium within Guangzhou Sports University. They are being constructed as scheduled. And 11 provincial-level sports venues are also being repaired. Asian Games Weather Reports Updated Every Six Minutes The Short-span Weather Alert Network (SWAN) newly set-up by the Guangdong Meteorological Bureau will provide accurate weather forecasts during the 16th Asian Games. The system will give forecasts or alerts on short-span weather or extreme weather phenomena, which are then updated every 6 minutes.
