Shenzhen to deepen reform in 4 aspects

Wangrong said Shenzhen should adopt a totally different development pattern compared to the last 30 years:
" first, the central government has approval to test run a few pilot projects in Shenzhen. Given to us by the central government and we must do it well. Second, we will actively explore measures that comply with the world's development principle and national reform trend, and take initiatives to share our experience with the rest of the country. Third, we shall use our power as a pioneering city given by the central government to do well in our reforms. Fourth, we will seek cooperation with Hong Kong through exploring complementary advantages, economic integration and social harmony. "

By 2015, Shenzhen aims to achieve an industrial output of over 1 trillion yuan in 5 new industries, which are new energies, the Internet, bio-technologies, new materials and innovative culture.

FDI to reach $100 billion
The Ministry of Commerce said on Sunday (September 5) that China bucked international trends in both outbound and inward investment. China now ranks as the fifth largest global investor in outbound direct investment (ODI) with a total volume of $56.5 billion, compared to a ranking in 12th position in 2008. On top of this, foreign direct investment (FDI) this year was set to "surpass $100 billion", compared to $90 billion last year, ministry officials predicted.
