GD's Fiscal Revenues Grow over 20%

A report delivered by the Guangdong Finance Department indicates that the province's fiscal revenues including tax increased by 21.5% year-on-year for the past 6 months. The report predicts that the property market could see a recess during the second half of the year, when the effect of the nation's housing policies kicks in. This is likely to have a big impact on the province's fiscal revenues.

Chanthu to Land in Western Guangdong Tomorrow
This year's third tropical storm, Chanthu, has been detected moving towards Guangdong at a speed between 15 and 20 kmph and is likely to hit the west of the province tomorrow (22nd). Heavy rainstorms are therefore expected in central and southern Guangdong. As for Guangzhou, the city could see heavy rain over the next 3 days.

2nd Vehicle Limitation Test Run for September
The first test-run of the Guangzhou Asian Games' vehicle limitation measures ended yesterday (20th), with an overall satisfying outcome. The authorities were then eager to announce that the 2nd test will be carried out in September. The next time, Dongguan and Foshan will also be part of the exercice.

LPG Price in GZ could Go Down

The price of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) in Guangzhou could go down in the near future, according to an insider from the Guangdong Oil & Gas Association, says Yancheng Evening News. He predicts that the price could drop by around 0.1 Yuan per liter. The current retail price of LPG in Guangzhou is 4.05 Yuan per liter, set in light of the wholesale LPG price in April. However, wholesale prices have been going down since May but this hasn't yet been reflected on retail prices. Many drivers in Guangzhou have therefore gone back to consuming gasoline.
