GD Week to be Unveiled at SH World Expo
Starting next Wednesday( July 28th ), the Guangdong Week hopes to stun visitors to the 2010 World Expo which in taking place in Shanghai. During this special week for us, 1200 performers will perform a series of folk art performances presenting Lingnan culture. 

Zhongshan Recognized as Satisfactory in Urban Management
The city of Zhongshan, located on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta, was awarded the title of "Satisfactory Chinese city in terms of urban management," following the cities of Chengdu and Dalian. The city ranked in third place in the public's opinion after experts' appraisals based on the environment, hygiene, education and social security. Over 300 cities across the nation were competing for the award and over 40 million people voted online.

Another Tropical Storm Ready to Hit GD
This year's third tropical storm, Chanthu, is now moving across the South China Sea. The Guangdong metrological office predicts the strom will seriously impact Guangdong. In central and southern Guangdong, starting tomorrow (July 21st) night until Friday, heavy rainstorms are to be expected, hopefully alleviating the scorching weather.

Annual Modern Dance Week Will Kick Off in GZ this Saturday
The seventh annual Guangdong Modern Dance week will commence this Saturday (July 24th) in Guangzhou. This year's festival will focus on discovering Asia, with hundreds of Asian artists and over 60 dance performances during the event. The Guangdong Modern Dance Week was first held in 2004, and aims to promote exchanges between artists from home and abroad.
