Direct Flights to Queensland Begin in November
Direct flights between Guangdong and Queensland in Australia will begin in November. During a meeting between Mr. Ou Guangyuan, the Director of Guangdong's NPC (National People's Congress) Standing Committee and representatives from Queensland council, Mr. Ou said these direct flights will promote tourism and trade ties between both sides, offering new cooperation possibilities.



Twenty-one Experts Ensure Asian Games'Air Quality
The Department of Environmental Air Quality for GAGOC yesterday (July, 18) gathered the nation's top 21 environmental protection experts. They are going to work on air quality improvement before and during the Asian Games. They will also examine the validity of emergency pollution control measures in extreme weather conditions.


Extremely Hot Days Ahead
Starting yesterday (July 18th), temperatures have started to climb back up again now that typhoon Conson has moved on to Vietnam. 13 cities and counties across Guangdong recorded temperatures of least 35 degrees and although the Guangdong meteorological office predicts that over the next few days showers and thunderstorms are to be expected, temperatures however shall remain high.
