Green norms for overseas investment soon
The government will soon come out with environmental protection guidelines for domestic companies planning overseas investments, ministry officials said on Thursday. Domestic companies that have overseas operations will have to take adequate steps to protect the environment and shoulder more corporate social responsibility.


China not currency manipulator: US Treasury
The Obama administration accepted not to label China a currency manipulator in a semi-annual currency report released yesterday after China agreed on June 19 to introduce more flexibility into the currency system. The yuan has risen about 0.8 percent against the dollar since Beijing's announcement.

The Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), the last of the country's four largest banks to go public, announced today it has set its H-share initial public offering (IPO) price at 3.2 HK dollars (42 U.S. cents) per share, which was in the middle level of its IPO price range.


CPI Jumps 2.8% as Inflation affect Food and Home Prices
Guangzhou's CPI (Consumer Price Index) increased rapidly in the first half of 2010 by 2.8% year-on-year. Food and property prices are the main reason for this increase.
