Cross-Straits Cooperation Being Discussed in GD The 6th Cross-Straits economic and trade culture forum kicked off in Guangdong yesterday (July 8th). The theme of the forum is to strengthen cooperation in rising industries and improve competitiveness across the straits. Thus, the forum will focus on discussions about cooperation in new energies and environmentally friendly industries. As part of the forum, participants will visit factories in the PRD before the plenary session which commences tomorrow (July 10th).
All Asian Games Venues Construction Work Completed Major work on all new Asian Games venues is now completed including both the 53 competition venues and the 17 training venues. The renovation and expansion work on the 46 stadiums, including the Guangzhou and Guangdong Stadiums is also completed. Today(July 9th), Guangzhou's Asian Games velodrome will be handed over to GAGOC all new and shiny.

Central bank continues loose monetary policy in S2 The People' s Bank of China (PBOC), the central bank, said yesterday(July 8th), China will continue its relatively loose monetary policy during the latter half of the year to maintain the consistency and stability of macro economic policies. The PBOC said in an online statement, that "we will apply multiple monetary tools to maintain an appropriate growth in money supply, and adjust the credit structure to reduce risks, which disclosed the consensus reached by its monetary policy committee during the second-quarter meeting."
