Tragic attack in Kindergarten in Jiangsu Province Just one day after a man attacked with a knife and critically injured 16 pupils and a teacher in a primary school in Guangdong, a new tragedy happened yesterday in Jiangsu Province in the city of Taixing. A 47-year-old man broke into a kindergarten classroom with a 20cm-long knife and stabbed 29 children and three adults in the neck and around the head. The children were all between the ages of 4 and 5-years-old. Five of the children are in a critical condition and the others are stable. No deaths were reported as of last night. The police have arrested the perpetrator, identified as Xu Yuyuan but his motives are still unknown. This new incident involving young children increases fear of further copycats.

GD Medical Team Returns from Yunshu A delegation of medical staff has just returned to Guangzhou from the earthquake-hit region in Qinghai. More from our reporter Luo Su:
Guangdong sent the delegation to Yushu just one day after the earthquake took place.16 people have returned and 12 are still in Qinghai helping the victims. According to Xu Xiangdong, a doctor from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the relief mission was no easy task in particular due to the altitude.
"The altitude was 2,200 meters. We did not feel comfortable soon after arriving. Later we got used to it. "
As of April 28th, 6010 people had been treated by the delegation and they had completed 84 operations.
