New GZ Mayor to be Officially Announced
The fourth plenary of the fifth session of Guangzhou's 13th NPC will be held this morning(April 16th), which will vote and announce the new Director of the standing Committee of Guangzhou's NPC and Mayor of the city. After the meeting, the newly-elected Guangzhou Mayor will meet with the press. In addition, Guangzhou's CPPCC will also elect its new President today.

Death Toll of Yushi Earthquake Hits 760
As of 16: 30 yestserday(April 15th), the death toll from a 7.1-magnitude earthquake in northwest China's Qinghai Province has risen to 760. A spokesman with the rescue headquarters in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu in southern Qinghai said, the latest statistics showed that 243 people were missing and 11,477 injured, among which over 1,170 in critical condition. A total of 4,200 injured people have been discharged from hospital.

Foshan's Traditional Art and Handicrafts to be Fully Displayed in Shanghai World Expo
The traditional art and handicrafts from Foshan will be fully displayed at the Shanghai World Expo scheduled to open on May 1st. Nine categories of art and handicrafts from Foshan, such as the Cantonese Opera, lion dance and paper cutting, will be presented during the Guangdong Week from July 28th till August 1st.
