GD Sends Products to Shanxi Boosting Domestic Market
Yesterday (April 8th), the 14th East-West China Cooperation, Investment and Trade Meeting opened in Xi¡¯An in central China¡¯s Shanxi Province. Led by Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua, a large delegation consisting of over 1500 representatives from 400 Guangdong enterprises are attending. A Guangdong pavilion was even set-up for the first time to introduce the province¡¯s products, brands and specialties. The meeting is expected to see 316 deals signed between Guangdong and Shanxi, with investment totaling 34 billion yuan. This meeting is part of continuous actions taken by Guangdong to develop the domestic market.

GZ Opera House Puts on First Audition
Guangzhou Opera House held its first ever show last night (April 9th), presenting classic opera pieces such as Turandot and La Dame aux Camelias, in front of an audience of 800 construction workers, the ones who actually built the Opera House. In their blue and orange work uniforms, the workers were the first to get a glimpse of Guangzhou¡¯s new landmark in action:
" We are very proud of having been involved in building this opera house. As far as I known, few will later be able to affordable a ticket as it is such an elegant place. I am so happy we get the change to go inside and visit it."
Designed by British architect Zaha Hadid, Guangzhou Opera House is the third largest opera house following the Beijing National Grand Theater and Shanghai Grand Theater.
GZ Increases Land Lot Supply to Curb the Housing Price Hike
To curb inflating property prices, Guangzhou this year will supply up to five square kilometers of land to build homes, 2 / 5 of which will be located in downtown Guangzhou. Prices for new homes in Guangzhou averaged 11,500 yuan per square meter in March with those in downtown Guangzhou reaching over 20,000 yuan.
