Death Toll Rises to 7 in China Flooded Mine as Search for 32 Continues The death toll has risen to 7 people in northern China's Shanxi Province after a state-owned coal mine was flooded last week trapping 153 miners underground. Another body was discovered this morning (April 7th) and DNA tests will be conducted to determine the miner's identity. On Monday night and Tuesday morning, five bodies were recovered from the flooded shaft however 115 miners were pulled out alive over the weekend. Rescue operations are still underway to find the remaining 31 trapped workers.

Severe Accident Takes Place in Shantou, 10 Dead, 28 Injured Yesterday (April 6th) afternoon a fatal traffic accident took place in Shantou, a city in eastern Guangdong. Three cars entered into collision killing ten people and injuring 28 others. 6 of them are still in a critical condition. The police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
