Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group to build a new factory Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group recently started building a new factory, located in Tongzhou economic development zone in Beijing. The factory, scheduled to be completed and operational at the end of this year, is expected to be the company's regional headquarters in Northern China. The factory will not only be the manufacturing base, but also a research and development center and a place to display piano culture Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group is one of the largest piano manufacturers in the world, and the pianos have been sold to over 100 countries and regions.
GD & HK to Sign Structural Coopeartion Agreement in BJ Tomorrow Guangdong and Hong Kong will sign a Structural Cooperation Agreement tomorrow(April 7th) in Beijing. The agreement is expected to link the two regions closer together under the frameworks of the Outline for the PRD Reform and Development Plan and the CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement). Statistics released by the Guangdong Administration of Industry and Commerce indicate that as of last year, over 3,200 Hong Kong and Macao residents have registered to start business in Guangzhou. What's more, such registrations grew by 10% amidst the international financial crisis. Mr. Guo, a Hong Kong resident, who chose Guangzhou to develop his clothing business, said, integration between the two regions is intensifying. "If you ask any Hong Kongese, they will all agree with me. There is an increasing number of Hong Kong residents now living in Chinese mainland, for business, study and work."
