The new regulations feature more severe punishments for drunk driving bringing the maximum limit of alcohol in a person's blood to 20 milligrams alcohol for 100 milliliters of blood. In such a case 12 scores will be deducted, double than before, and in Guangdong the punishment will be even more severe: the authorities will deprive the driver of his license and oblige him to retake driving lessons.

Scaffolds Collapse Kills one in GZ's Huangpu District At around 7 this morning, scaffolding surrounding an eight-storey building in Tangtou community on Nangang street in Guangzhou's Huangpu district collapsed suddenly. The accident left one person dead and injured 15 others. The scaffolding originally covered around 600 square meters and stood for four days before the accident occurred. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
