PRD Greenways Put Underway A ceremony was held this morning(Mar 22nd) in the Asian Games Town to mark the commencement of the construction of the Pearl River Delta's greenways. These greenways should stretch nearly 1,700 kilometers, closely linking nine cities within the PRD. Guangdong governor Huang Huahua spoke this morning and emphasized that these greenways are of great importance in improving people's quality of life and in accelerating the integration of the Pearl River Delta. Guangzhou Deputy Mayor Su Zequn said the city plans to finish the first 480-kilometer greenway by September.

Zhong Nanshan, a health expert, warned the public to take simple precautions to avoid being infected. According to the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention, massive AH1N1 flu cases have not been reported over the past three months. However, Zhong Nanshan noted that this data does not indicate a drop in seasonal flues.
