GD to Implement Stricter Management of Water Resources
Today (22nd) is the 18th World Water Day and this year China's theme for this day is "Strict Management of Water Resources to Maintain a Sustainable Development". In Guangdong, the water resource department said this year they will focus on allocating water supplies more scientifically as well as protecting water resources to sustain water capacity.

GD to Crack down on Illegal Recycling of Cooking Oil
Guangdong will crack down on the illegal recycling of cooking oil either in the kitchens of many restaurants or sometimes even taken from the drains next to the restaurants, hence the name "Drainage Oil." The move comes after academic research shows that one meal in ten across the nation is likely prepared with the dangerous counterfeit product. The Guangdong Food & Drug Bureau said that they will conduct sample checks and exert more efforts to ban restaurants and other food suppliers from purchasing oil without proper information tags.

GD & Japan to Forge More Cooperation
Yesterday (22nd) in Guangzhou, Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua met with the Japanese ambassador to China, Miyamoto Yuzuji, currently on a visit to south China. The two parties discussed ways to deepen their cooperation in advanced manufacturing and modern services as well as developing a low-carbon economy.
