GZ Collects Fundings for Urban Construction Through the Issue of Treasury Bonds Instead of relying on fiscal input by the government, Guangzhou for the first time generated fundings for its urban development through the issue of treasury bonds. 2.8 billion yuan was successully collected, with 1.8 billion yuan to be invested to improve the traffic planning within the core area of Zhujiang new town, and the rest will be allocated in the construction of Guangzhou new TV tower.
GD Plans to Build Nuclear Power Plant in Qingyuan Guangdong plans to build a nuclear power plant in Qingyuan, with its location set aside Yingde. The office engaged in its preparation work was established yesterday(Mar 18th). The project, invested by China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, will cost 50 billion yuan to build, with a designed capacity of four multiply 1million kilowatts. Once completed, it is expected to satisfy the energy demands of the PRD area and Qingyuan, and effectively lower energy consumption and emissions.
GZ Civil Servant Exam Guangdong civil servant exam will take place this Sunday(21st). Recent years this annual exam is seeing influx of applicants, as more and more job seekers are competing to be civil servants, a job which is considered as stable and safe option. This year more than 60,000 applicants will take part in the exam for just around 2,300 job openings.
China Southern Airlines to launch High-End Economy Class China Southern Airlines yesterday unveiled its high-end(advanced/improved) economy class design. The improvement is mainly made to enlarge the spacing of the seats, with sufficient areas(space) available for passengers to strench their legs, 40% larger than the regular spacing.In July of this year, China Southern Airlines will offer up to 7000 high-end economy class seats to passengers. The first aircrafts after such transformation will be operational on Mar 28th on flights flying between Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai.
