China to restructure Energy Industry in 2010
China will emphasis on adjusting its energy structure this year and focus on renewable energy and nuclear power. Zhang Guobao, the director of China's National Energy Administration (NEA) said in Beijing Tuesday that adjusting the energy development pattern would be their top priority this year so as to fulfill China's promise, made at the Copenhagen climate summit, for more scientific research and development in this field

Guangdong's GDP Exceeds Saudi Arabia
According to a Report on the Overall Competitiveness of China's Provincial -level Economy from 2008 to 2009, Guangdong's GDP in 2008 exceeded that of Saudi Arabia, Argentina and South Africa, and taken alone could reach the 16th place among the G20 nations. This latest bluebook also points out that apart from Guangdong, the GDP of Jiangsu, Shandong and Zhejiang have also surpassed some G20 countries and the average GDP of Shanghai would even place the city in the 12th position.
 

Guangzhou R&F Feb. Contracted Sales Fall 11% to 2.1 Billion Yuan
Guangzhou R&F Properties Co., the biggest developer in the city, said sales fell 11 percent in February from a year earlier to 2.1 billion yuan (USD308 million) because of a slow down during the Spring Festival.
 

GM to recall 1.3 million cars for steering fix
General Motors has announced it will recall 1.3 million compact vehicles to correct a power steering problem. GM plans to replace the defective power steering motors that are prone to failure, but an exact fix for the affected cars isn't yet ready. Customers will be notified when one is, and company officials say the cars can be safely driven until this occurs.
