Press Conference Held of the CPPCC
At 3pm this afternoon a press conference in the Great Hall of the people in Beijing will be held ahead of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). This year's press conference will take place in a new press room allowing more reporters to get in and cover the conference.

DPRK Becomes Approved Tourism Destination The State Council has approved the DPRK and the Federated States of Micronesia as two new organized outbound tourism destinations. Once effective on April 12th, the first tours to North Korea will cost around 6000 yuan, and visitors will be able to see well-known communist attractions, revolutionary statues and even go to the 38th Parallel.
GD Enhances Protection over Islands The nation's island protection law became effective yesterday (Mar 1st). In Guangdong, protection over island in the South China sea will be enhanced starting in the second half of the year. According to the draft plan, Guangdong will explore a market-oriented mechanism to sell the use of non inhabitation islands.
