Over 180,000 Shoots of Fireworks to Set off on New Year's Day In Guangzhou, the 2010 Spring Festival fireworks display will take place as usual, on New Year Day this Sunday (Feb 14th). The location will be the same, at Bai-e Tan, next to Shamian Island, and further down the river opposite the Pazhou Complex. This year they have staged a 5-round display which shall set off over 180,000 fireworks. The communications departments reminded drivers that from 7 pm to 10 pm that night, no private vehicles will be allowed near the display areas.
China Pavilion at Shanghai Expo Completes Construction It took 2 years for the construction of the Chinese Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo to finally be completed.
