BRT Offers Free Rides during 10-day Test-runs

The Zhongshan Dadao Section of Guangzhou's BRT will be open free-of-charge during a 10-day trial run which commences next Wednesday (10th). The Guangzhou Communications Commission last night (4th) reminded passengers that they must board the buses at one of the 26 BRT bus stops to get a free ride, not at any other bus stop the BRT passes by.
 


 Shantou Airport Welcomes More Airline Companiesthe
In near future, Shantou Airport wishes to attract more airline companies. Currently, several airline companies from Thailand and Hong Kong have expressed interest in setting up a regular flight to the airport ever since last year Shantou got the authorization to open its service to Southeast Asia, Macao and Hong Kong. 7 airline companies are today running flights to Shantou.

Yunfu to Build More Green Paths for Recreation
Yesterday(4th), the first "green" path for bicycles opened in the town of Yunfu, attracting cyclists from Guangzhou, Dongguan and other PRD cities with the visit to the beautiful Nanshan Forest Park. The town of Yunfu plans to build 3 more green paths in the future, totaling 265 kilometers upon completion.


 

Li Ka-shing Remains HK's Richest Man
Li Ka-shing, chairman of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd., is Hong Kong's richest person with a net worth of $21.3 billion, Forbes Asia Magazine reported, after his wealth gained $5 billion in the past year. The total net worth of Hong Kong's 40 richest people swelled to $135 billion, up from $82 billion a year ago.
