GD Emphasizes More in Improving People's Livelihood The Guangdong Civil Affairs Department announced Yesterday (Feb. 4th) that this year a series of plans focusing on the improvement of people's livelihood will be launched. Starting this year, the province will launch the first Poverty Relief Day, and more of the public welfare fund, which is generated from selling lottery tickets, will be allocated to help the elderly and subsidize orphanages in less developed areas. However, for now they are only planning to donate 1200RMB per orphan.
GZ's BRT Highly Automated

He talked to the head of Guangzhou Communications Commission's Scientific and technical department, and learnt that the automated system controlling the BRT is very different from ordinary buses. "There are 86 different technologies used on the BRT, controlling the buses, collecting statistics and analyzing data."
