Guangzhou Opera House to start operation in May The Guangzhou Opera House, one of the 7 new landmarks in Guangzhou is now believed to finally open in May. Within the first year of its opening, nearly 200 performances will be staged in this new venue. This project has taken 6 years to complete, costing 1.38 billion yuan. The opera house will be able to accommodate an audience of 1,800 people. Designed by Zaha Hadid, is one of the most advanced buildings in China. The project is expected to one of the 3 largest theatres in the country along with the Beijing-based National Theatre and the Shanghai Theatre.

21 Enterprises cater for the Asian Games Town 21 enterprises have been selected and announced this morning by the GAGOC to run retail stores and supporting businesses. These enterprises will open branches in the Asian Games Town in Panyu District during the Asian Games, providing shopping, leisure, recreational services for all the athletes, officials and media staff.
LNG Buses Launches before the Asian Games. After a year of research and development, Foshan has come out a new kind of bus powered by Liquid Natural Gas (LNG). These two new buses look similar to the common ones but produce much less air pollution, cutting by 99% CO emissions compared to normal LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) or diesel engines. These buses should be delivered before the Asian Games.
