Property Prices Drop by 10% in January
Last month, the first month in 2010, property prices in Guangzhou dropped 10% compared with December, falling to an average of 10,210 Yuan per square meter. However, the amount of houses sold did not increase in spite of this drop. Around 6500 new apartments were sold in Guangzhou last month, 7% less than in December.

This campaign will try to eliminate all toxic dairy products as well as punish those responsible for their distribution.

Citizens: Metro Line 5 Needs Improvement
Guangzhou's new Metro Line 5 has been in service for a month now. Although it has proved convenient for many people living in the outskirts of the city, some have complained of its supporting facilities. Our journalists Fang Yan and Zhao Zhaoyi have the details:
In many stations along Line 5, a number of exits are still under construction, forcing users to walk great distances and even cross buses to reach the closest entrance. Mr. Zhu lives near Chebeinan station and he told us:
" there are no pedestrian bridges nearby and it's very dangerous for us to cross the road. "

Ms Li lives in the west of the city and she needs to walk several hundred meters to take a bus to the nearest metro station on Line 5. She said:
"There are no traffic lights along the road and the traffic is dense. I'm really afraid to walk on  the road at night. "
