China's Nov. CPI figure to end months of drop: forecast
The National Bureau of Statistics announced this morning (December 11) that China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, grew by 0.6% year-on-year in November, the first monthly growth since January. Although the situation seems to be improving, the CPI still fell 0.9% since the beginning of the year compared to a 6.3% grow over the same period last year. As for the producer price index (PPI), a measure of inflation at the wholesale level, it has continued to drop by 2.1% year-on-year, but the rate of decline was 3.7% lower than in October.

Chinese home price rises 5.7% in Nov
In November, home prices in 70 large and medium-sized mainland cities rose 5.7 percent year-on-year according the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) yesterday (Dec. 10th). Prices of new homes rose 6.2 percent in November from the same month last year whilst second-hand property prices rose 5.5 percent. The total investment into real estate projects nationwide in the first 11 months was 3.13 trillion yuan ($458.27 billion), up 17.8 percent year-on-year. Although strong, that is still 4.9 percent lower than at the same period last year.

Zhaoqing set to be prime investment destination
The city of Zhaoqing is celebrating recently announced news that the city has secured 18 "massive" investment projects. The PRD city was awarded the projects following an investment promotional event held in Beijing earlier this year. Representing a total investment of 23 billion yuan, the 18 projects are related to the manufacturing sector, logistics, real estate and the development of an industrial park. Three of these projects are backed by foreign investors, including ABB, one of the world's leading 500 companies. Another six are funded by the private-sector, whilst the remaining nine have secured funding from enterprises owned by the Central government.

CPI rises by 0.6% in November, new loans up  
The National Bureau of Statistics announced this morning (December 11) that China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, grew by 0.6% year-on-year in November, the first monthly growth since January. Figures released by the People's Bank of China said that new yuan-denominated lending in November rebounded slightly to 294.8 billion yuan (43.2 billion U.S. dollars) from October's 253 billion yuan.

Imports & exports up 9.8% in November
The General Administration of Customs announced today (December 11) that China's imports and exports rose 9.8 percent in November year on year, ending a 12-month decline to stand at 208.2 billion U.S. dollars. Exports stood at 113.65 billion dollars in November, down 1.2 percent from a year earlier, but were up 2.6 percent from October, the fifth consecutive monthly increase. The EU remained China's biggest trading partner, with the United States in 2nd place followed by Japan.

 Overseas teams attend lion and dragon dancing competition
14 lion dancing teams and 6 dragon dancing teams from abroad are now in Guangzhou to compete at the Global Chinese Artistic and Cultural Talent competition as well as attend a series of cultural exchange programs.

This morning (November 11), the 6 dragon dancing teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, Spain, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong put on stage a stunning and wonderful performance.Robbie is the coach of the German team. He hopes to help promote Chinese traditional culture to the world:"The team from Sabah in Malaysia won the silver medal and they were very excited by the result."

Zhaoqing Real Estate Benefits from PRD Development Strategy
The 12th Zhaoqing Housing Fair opened this morning (December 11), attracting over 20 exhibitors promoting about 40 real estate projects. That's the largest number of projects ever presented at the fair. The government's decision to develop the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing economic circle has greatly boosted the real estate industry in Zhaoqing with people from outside the city accounting for 30% of the number of new home owners
