Guangzhou Auto Show Kicks Off
The 2009 Guangzhou Auto Show opened its doors to the media this morning, with 70 new models under the lenses of photographers. Tomorrow, will see professional buyers visit the Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center but individuals will have to wait until Thursday to get a glimpse of the latest models.


GZ's Nansha District to be Repositioned
Guangzhou's Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau announced yesterday (Nov. 22nd) the city is expected in the next six months to start to re-position Nansha district's industry focus. Nansha district should develop towards focusing on investments from Hong Kong and Macao, as well as an area of innovation and public services. Currently, Nansha's industries are mainly related the district's port and automobile manufacturing plants.

GZ to Make Efforts on Developing Electric Cars
Yesterday (Nov. 22nd) the Guangzhou government cosigned a memorandum of understanding with Nissan Motor and Dongfeng Automobile Company to boost the development of the electric car industry. In Early 2011, Nissan's electric vehicles will officially be introduced into China. Insiders estimate that the electric car will be sold two times higher than ordinary vehicles.
