The Guangdong Health Department said yesterday that the A/H1N1 virus is now in full swing in Guangdong. The director of the health department Yao Zhibing pointed out that the flu has become an epidemic in living communities across Guangdong and that the number of serious cases now represents 2.43% of all A/H1N1 cases. Experts have raised alarm, saying that the number of influenza cases has been seriously underestimated and that the official number of deaths is far lower that the real number. What's more, experts predict that more deaths related to the A/H1N1 flu may be on the way.
