GD Faces Severe Drought
The on-going drought in Guangdong has dried up 310 reservoirs and has affected 325,000 people and 1300 square kilometers of crops. Relevant water departments have announced they will stop watering the city's plants and trees for the time being and impose a 20% reduction in water to large-scaled enterprises.

4 Australian Schools Close Leaving Chinese Students Stranded
Four private schools in Australia have closed due to bankruptcy, leaving 3500 foreign students stranded and around 1000 of them have been said to be PRC citizens. Located in Sydney and Melbourne, these four schools are under the Global Campus Management Group. Our reporters talked to some of the Cantonese students studying there and most of them spoke of their intention to transfer to other schools so as to continue their studies in Australia. News about compensation has not yet been given.
