Legislators discuss equal representation for rural & urban Chinese China's top legislature discussed on Tuesday granting equal representation in people's congresses to rural and urban residents. A new amendment to the Electoral Law, for the first time, aims to correct this imbalance and under representation. It requires both rural and urban areas to adopt the same ratio of deputies for a given number of citizens in elections of representatives to people's congress."
GZ Continues to Use LPG-Fuel Bus The Guangdong Communications Commission said yesterday (Oct 27th) the city will continue to use and improve buses running on LPG. Xian Weixiong, the Director-General of the commission added that before next year's Asian Games, new measures will be adopted to guarantee buses' emissions meet environmental standards. Whilst he didn't explain why they were not adopting these measures straight away, he did comment that the city will continue to explore new and clean energies used on public transportation.
The 11th National Games to End Today (Oct 28th) will see the end of the 11th National Games in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province. The closing ceremony will be held tonight after the two last finals take place in men's basketball and men's hockey. But whether Guangdong wins or looses today's games, it unfortunately won't help the Guangdong delegation rise on the score board, remaining in 5th position, a big disappointment for the team which was hoping to rank 3rd.

Amidst a serious increase in property prices this year, these 1,092 new houses have been much awaited. However, only those under 70 square meters are being sold at the preferential price of around 4000 yuan.
