GD Pockets Large in Australia
Yesterday (Oct 27th) a delegation from Guangdong and led by Governor Huang Huahua clinched deals worth over 6.2 billion U.S. Dollars at the Guangdong Hong Kong Australia Cooperation Conference held in Sydney. The meeting was the largest in recent years in terms of scale and transaction volume held between China and Australia. Over 500 people from Guangdong attended the meeting.

GD's A/H1N1 Vaccine Inoculation Campaign Starts Earlier
An official from the Guangdong Health Department announced yesterday (Oct 27th) that the provincial A/H1N1 vaccine inoculation campaign will officially begin this week, one week earlier than scheduled. More from our reporter Zhao Zhaoyi:
Yao Zhibing, the Director-General of the department, give us details concerning the inoculation plan:
"The inoculation campaign will first begin in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, then the Pearl River Delta and later the entire Province. The plan was made focusing on high risk areas at first to avoid an epidemic."
Hospital staff as well as civil servants working in airports will also be the first to receive the vaccine.

The World's Retail Giant Wal-mart Enters GZ
The world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart, opened its first store in Guangzhou yesterday (Oct 27th). Located in Panyu, the store named "Sam¡¯s Club" marks the beginning of the retailer's ambitious expansion in Guangzhou.
