GD to Allocate Fund & Manpower to Fight Drought
The Guangdong Drought-Relief and Flood-Control Headquarters yesterday announced that 67 million Yuan and 680,000 manpower will be allocated to fight the on-going drought that is affecting eastern and northern Guangdong. The measures will save more than 933 square kilometers of fields and provide safe drinking water for nearly a quarter of a million people.

Central Government Issues Six Billion Yuan State Bonds in HK
Yesterday (Sep 28th) the Central Government issued a total of 6 billion Yuan worth of state bonds in Hong Kong that are now available for purchase by the public. These bonds are available in two, three or five year terms. The result of the bonds sale will be announced on Oct 22nd.

Parks in GZ to Stay Open Late during National Day Holidays
During the upcoming National Day Holidays, opening hours of parks in Guangzhou will be extended to 10 p.m. On Mid-Autumn Day, Liuhua Park will stay open till mid-night, with a lantern festival to greet visitors. Other parks in Guangzhou will also put on events including Cantonese Opera performances and flower shows during the holiday period.
