Construction on Highest Building in South China
The Construction work on Guangzhou's new landmark, the east tower of Zhujiang New Town, began this morning(Sept 28th). The tower will be 530 meters high with 116 storeys, and it shall become the tallest building in Southern China when it's completed construction in 2016. Over 10 billion Yuan will be invested into the construction.

GZ Starts Campaign to Tidy up
To celebrate the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn's Day, this morning (Sep 28th) a campaign to tidy up the city started in Guangzhou. Organized by urban management departments, the campaign aims at cleaning up forgotten corners in Guangzhou such as small alleys and drainages. This campaign shall last till the end of this year.

550-Kilovolt Guishan Transformer Substation Completes Construction
The second 550-kilovolt Guishan transformer substation in Zhongshan has completed construction and is expected to start operating after the National Day Holidays. 800 million Yuan has been invested into the project and the substation shall begin to meet the demands of the south of Zhongshan.

GZ's First Batch of Electric Buses Starts Operation
This morning (Sep 28th), Guangzhou's first batch of pure electricity-propelled buses started operatipm. This marked Guangzhou's progress on its way to developing its energy-saving and environmentally-friendly public transportation.
