The report predicts that Guangdong is likely to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society soon, 7 to 8 years earlier than rest of the country.
Taxi drivers under stricter management In Guangzhou, taxi drivers who attempt to cheap their customers will now face a maximum fine of 1000 yuan. According to the new regulation enacted yesterday (September 24), taxi drivers smoking behind the wheel can be fined up to 50 yuan and finally, passengers can refuse to pay: if the driver didn't start the meter or if the price doesn't appear clearly; if the taxi-driver refuses to provide an invoice; if the passenger is dropped off mid-way without a valuable reason; or if he picks up other passengers without the customer's approval.
GZ Residents Less Satisfied with their Real Estates Guangzhou residents are much less satisfied with the housing estates they live in compared to last year. According to a report based on a survey of 2,000 residents from 20 housing communities, only about 23% of those surveyed said they would choose to live in their current community or any other community run by the same developer. China Southern Airlines to Run over 15,000 flights During the National Day Holidays, China Southern Airlines, the largest airline company in Asia, will operate over 15,000 flights, including 1,100 chartered flights.
