Chinese leaders extend festival greetings to teachers Today is China's 25th Teachers' Day and yesterday (Sep 9th) a meeting was held in Beijing to honor outstanding teachers. Chinese President Hu Jintao, joined by other senior leaders including Wen Jiabao, shook hands with some outstanding teachers and extended festival greetings to all teachers in the country. Chinese State Councilor, Liu Yandong, stressed the importance of providing accessible education to the public and urged teachers to serve as models for their students.

3rd GZ Forum on Expo Economics to Open Tomorrow The 3rd Guangzhou Forum on Expo Economics will open tomorrow. A press conference held yesterday revealed that 55 projects with a total investment of 25.6 billion Yuan will be put forward to attract investment. Also, to relieve the burden on participating enterprises, a few booths will be offered for free.
