A/H1N1 Vaccines Expected in GD By End of Month The Guangdong Health Department announced last night (Sep 7th) that in the past week, 166 new A/H1N1 cases had been confirmed. As of today, 991 cases have been confirmed in Guangdong. 870 of those have recovered whilst the others are still undergoing treatment. In fear of an increase in the number of cases due to the return of cold weather, a first batch of vaccines will be sent to Guangdong later this month.

Chen ChaoRen: 106th Canton Fair to Expect Greater Transaction Volume The Canton Fair Vice-Secretary, Chen ChaoRen, said yesterday (Sep 7th) that he expects there will be more people visiting the upcoming 106th Canton Fair and that the transaction volume shall be greater than last session, in light of the fact that China's economy is reviving and both domestic and foreign buyers are confident. The 106th Canton Fair, with over 55,000 booths, will be held from 15th Oct to 4th November.
