New Measures to be Launched in GZ to Facilitate Financing
Guangzhou will launch new measures to facilitate the financing of small and medium-size enterprises (SME). These measures feature the exemption on the registration deposit and the issue of company bonds. Attracting funds from the public is also one of the new measures being launched. Ye Huasheng from the Guangzhou Administration of SMEs said the bureau is organizing qualified enterprises to be listed on the stock market." As the Initial Public Offering for SMEs has resumed and the second board for newly established companies will soon be launched, we encourage companies to be listed so as to satisfy their medium and long-term financing demands."

Imported Milk Powder Expands its market in Guangdong
According to the provincial customs, in the first half of this year, Guangdong imported 33,000 tons of milk powder, 3 times more compared to the same period last year. Imports mainly come from New Zealand and Australia. Foreign milk powder manufacturers expanded their share of China's market after last year's melamine scandal. A huge drop in the tariff for imported milk powder has also led to a drop in prices.

Goni Looses Strength
As Goni moves slowly west, the 7th typhoon this year is gradually loosing its strength and its impact on Guangdong is less devastating. A part from Zhanjiang and Maoming, most of the province will remain dry and temperatures will start to rise. Tomorrow (Aug 8th) there will be showers on the Leizhou Peninsula and eastern Guangdong will be overcast with occasional rains. As for the rest of the province, it will enjoy a cloudy or even a sunny day. Temperature in several cities in the northwest may reach up to 35 to 36 degrees.
