Guanzhou & Foshan to Share More Resources in Pricing Systems
The Guangzhou Price Control Administration and its Foshan counterpart  signed an agreement this morning (Aug 5th) to co-operate on price management in preparation for the unification of the 2 cities. According to the agreement, the two cities will work together in areas such as price supervision so as to build together a better pricing systems.

Guangzhou Praises 84 Drivers
This morning (Aug 5th), the Guangzhou Government and the Guangzhou Communications Commission held a ceremony to honor 84 outstanding bus and taxi drivers for their efforts in promoting good manners on the road. During the ceremony, another 1000 drivers swore that they will do their utmost to carry out the same cause.

Rural GZ to Have Full 3G Coverage by 2012
China Unicom will invest 500 million Yuan within the next 3 years to equip Guangzhou's rural areas with 3G services, according to an agreement signed by the Guangzhou Government and China Unicom yesterday (Aug 4th). Thanks to this project, all rural areas around Guangzhou around Guangzhou will have access to 3G by the end of 2012.

Typhoon GONI Lands at Taishan
The Guangdong meteorological bureau announced that GONI, the 7th typhoon this year, reached Taishan at 6:20 this morning (Aug 5th). After reaching the coastline, the typhoon has been moving slowly towards Western Guangdon, resulting in strong winds, dangerous waves and heavy rainstorms over the next few days in western Guangdong and the PRD. Tomorrow Guangzhou will see heavy storms with temperatures ranging from 26 to 31 degrees.
