Canton Fair to Extend Exhibition Time
Complying with directives given by the Ministry of Commerce, the next session of the Canton Fair will be extended by 4 days, by what we could call an entirely new phase dedicated to the domestic market. During this 4-day exhibition, the last 2 days will be open to the public for the first time in the history of the Canton Fair.

Guangdong, Macao branded products fair concludes with transaction near $40 mln
The 2009 Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair ended yesterday in Macao(Aug 2nd), with a transaction volume exceeding 38 million U.S. dollars. Organized by the Guangdong government and Macao's Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the 4-day fair was an open activity combining exhibitions, shopping, cultural events and entertainment. The event attracted over 90,000 visitors, and saw eight cooperation agreements signed.

China Construction Bank continues its second-hand housing loan business
The China Construction Bank (CCB) has denied a rumor stating that "the bank will make adjustments to its second-hand housing loan policy" and that "the bank will exit altogether the second-hand housing loan market". According to the bank's spokesman, the CCB regards such loans as a strategic part of their business, and he said the bank will continue its efforts to encourage people to buy second-hand houses.
