The Guangdong branch of China Telecom later indicated that the problem was caused when the province's general router crashed. The Internet resumed at 20:20 last night. At the moment, the police are conducting an investigation into the matter, in light of its resemblance with earlier national major Internet breakdowns.
Typhoon Nangka to Hit Guangdong This Evening The typhoon named Nangka is expected to hit the east of Guangdong and the south of Fujian tonight (Jun 26th). Under the influence of Nangka, strong winds will pick up in Eastern Guangdong, gradually building momentum to reach gale force 7 to 9. This evening, coastal cities such as Shantou, Chaozhou, Jieyang and Shanwei are to experience heavy rainstorms.

British Consulate: Correct Translation of Student Documents Crucial to Application
Every year from June to September, is a peak period for students applying for visas. Unfortunately, many applicants often fail to get approved, for the translation companies they hire, couldn't provide accurate and professional translations for the documents required by the visa section. Ivy Xu, member of the Culture and Education Section at the British Consulate General in Guangzhou reminds applicants that they must submit accurate and true information. What's more all documents must be translated into English, and submitted with complete information about the translator. The British Consulate's Visa Center has received over 5000 student visa applications from early June until now, that's an increase of 15% compared to last year.
