11 More A/H1N1 Confirmed Cases in GD

After an A/H1N1 outbreak in one of Dongguan's elementary schools, yesterday another 11 new cases were confirmed in Guangdong bringing the total number of confirmed cases 122. But the good news is that China's first batch of A/H1N1vaccines has been put into production and should reach the market by September.

Within the next 3 years, China will vaccinate all children under the age of 15 with Hepatitis B. Currently in Guangdong around 10 million children under the age of 15 still haven¡¯t been vaccinated. With this new plan, around 2.5 million of them can expect to receive the preventive treatment by the end of the year.
