New Job Fairs Held In Guangdong
A new recruitment campaign was launched in Guangdong yesterday (June 21st) with job fairs being held simultaneously across 21 cities and counties. The job fairs target fresh graduates, with over 2,500 enterprises offering nearly 30,000 vacancies. More from our reporter Yangzhen: This year, the number of graduates looking for jobs in Guangdong is estimated at 500,000. To reach the 90% employment rate set by the provincial government, the labor department has initiated a scheme called "one enterprise, one job vacancy", and a 100-day online recruitment operation is underway on various HR websites till Sept 30th.
Meanwhile, a job fair was also held for vocational school students in Guangzhou; and whilst the job market might be saturated by university students, vocational students found themselves having become very attractive to employers. Although schools have increased the number of students, the next three to five years, we will see a serious shortage of professionals."
