Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing to Form 1-hour Proximity This morning (June 17th), the much anticipated Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing closer economic cooperation agreement was signed in Zhaoqing, with the industrial dual transfer policy, one of the main aspects of the agreement. What's more, in the second half of the year, the construction of new intercity railway lines between the three regions will be put underway.

Guangdong to Spend 76.3b yuan on 5 Expressways
Guangdong plans to invest 76 billion yuan ($11.2 billion) in the construction of five new expressways in the province. The Jiangmen-Luoding Expressway, a 147.7-km trunk in the province's planned network, is scheduled to be built between 2010 and 2013. The other four expressways will be located outside the PRD and total 632 km.
China Provides $10 billion Loan to SCO Members
Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) agreed on Tuesday to upgrade the SCO's Business Council and the Inter-Bank Union from a mainly bilateral mechanism to a multilateral sphere, so that the member states can better coordinate financial and monetary policies, in a push for growth and faster economic recovery. China put forward a series of substantial proposals for deepening economic cooperation, including a $10 billion loan for joint economic projects within the SCO framework.
