Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing Develop Closer Economic Cooperation
This morning (June 17th), the much anticipated Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing closer economic cooperation agreement was signed in Zhaoqing, with the industrial dual transfer policy, one of the main aspects of the agreement. What's more, in the second half of the year, the construction of new intercity railway lines between the three regions will be put underway.

More from our reporter Wang Jianping:

The director of the Guangzhou Economic and Trade Commission, Zhao Xiaosui said industrial transfer from Guangzhou to the other two cities allows for better utilization of resources.

"It's important for the three cities to improve industry structure. For example, car manufacturers can be moved to Foshan or Zhaoqing, to allow the two cities to improve their automobile industry."
