Consumer May Regret Purchases of Houses and Cars Consumers may soon have the right to have second thoughts after purchasing a house or a car. Indeed, if the new Consumer Rights Protection Law gets approved by the legislator, consumers should enjoy the right to cancel 3 categories of contracts: first, on-line purchases; second, purchases that require a down payment before signing a contract: and finally purchases involving large amounts of money such as houses and cars. The Consumer Rights Protection Law is currently going through its first revision since it was issued 15 years and aims to enhance the protection of consumers.
