Consumer May Regret Purchases of Houses and Cars
Consumers may soon have the right to have second thoughts after purchasing a house or a car. Indeed, if the new Consumer Rights Protection Law gets  approved by the legislator, consumers should enjoy the right to cancel 3  categories of contracts: first, on-line purchases; second, purchases that require a down payment before signing a contract: and finally purchases involving large amounts of money such as houses and cars. The Consumer Rights Protection Law is currently going through its first revision since it was issued 15 years and aims to enhance the protection of consumers.

Spit or Litter on Beijing Road will be Fined 50 yuan
Beginning from July 10th, people found spitting or littering on Beijing Road will be fined up to 50 yuan. The authorities have started today (June 10) a 1-month education campaign about correct behaviors and have promised that no fines will be issued within this period. And Beijing Road does seem to be the best place to start civic education, as it is one of Guangzhou's most crowded pedestrian streets, with around 200,000 visitors each day.
