Beijing Reports 2nd Case of A/H1N1
Yesterday (May 20th) Beijing confirmed its second A/H1N1 case, the 5th in Chinese Mainland. The patient is a 21-year-old Chinese living in Canada, who flew into Beijing last Saturday (May 16th). He is currently showing rapid signs of recovery now that he has been placed in quarantine.

Sinopec and CNPC Refute Rumor
Recent reports claimed that Sinopec and the China National Petroleum Cooperation stopped wholesaling petrol in certain areas. However, yesterday (May 20th), spokesmen from the two companies refuted the rumor, saying they had never stopped wholesaling petrol but only stopped wholesaling to buyers who were suspected of making petrol reserves so as to mark the prices go up. Neither of the two versions has yet been confirmed by the authorities.
Guangzhou to Exert Greater Effort to Check Illegal Activities of Foreign Inhabitants Guangzhou's Public Security Bureau revealed yesterday that every year thousands of foreigners enter and not always in the most legal ways. There are currently around 20,000 foreigners living in the city, unfortunately, according to the bureau, some of them work illegally and others even commit crimes such as smuggling drugs and robbery. The security bureau has started a campaign to check such activities, so much sure you all have your passports on you at all times.
