18 people having close contact with GD Patient Not found due to false information The health ministry has confirmed that a man from Guangdong who had recently returned from North America has tested positive for the A(H1N1) virus. The man flew to Hong Kong via South Korea before boarding a train to Guangdong on Friday. The deputy director of the Guangdong health department, Huang Fei, said 93 people had been in close contact with the man and that 75 of them had been found. Unfortunately, some of the remaining 18 people haven't been tracked down yet because it appears that they provided false contact information. Huang reminds travelers that those who do provide false information on the forms could face legal charges.

Travelers Need to Disclose Schedule up to 7 Days Because the H1N1 has a hidden period of up to 7 days, travelers entering Guangdong are requested to provide authentic information of their schedule in China for 7 days. They must fill-in a health declaration forms which includes the address of where they are staying, a telephone number, and any relevant travel information. The number of symptoms they need to declare has increased from 8 to 11 and if people provide false information on the forms then resulting in the spread of the disease could face legal charges. This policy is already effective since last Saturday.
Shenzhen Seeks to Expand Its Special Economic Zone Regime Shenzhen, one of the four special economic zones set-up in 1979 by Deng Xiaoping to pioneer the opening-up and reform drive is working on a new reform scheme. The government has filed a proposal to the State Council, asking to expand the special economic zone area to the whole city. If accepted, the zone will then include Baoan, Longgang and Guangming districts, which are currently excluded from the regime. If approved the total area of Shenzhen's special economic zone will nearly double the size of Hong Kong.
