1st Session of the Net Business Trade Fair Closes in GZ, Aiming at Help Out GD Manufacturers Guangzhou's first e-commerce trade fair ended yesterday (May 17th). Our reporter, Zhang Bin was at the fair and he has the details:
Ma Yun, from Alibaba, the world's largest online B2B market place, said in his public speech that Guangzhou was chosen as the venue for the fair to help manufacturers in Guangdong seek ways to development. He stressed that manufacturers should shift to E-commerce. "Manufacturing industries will experience dramatic changes due to e-commerce. All enterprises should pay great attention to E-business."

GD Pork Import Tumbles by Half Guangdong's pork imports tumbled in the wake of the outbreak of AH1/N1. Guangzhou's Huangpu customs estimates that from January to April, 28,000 tons of pork entered the province, that's a 50% drop compared to last year. Currently, 60% of Guangdong's pork imports are from the European Union.
GD First Sees Growth in Car Export According to the latest data released by the Guangdong customs, the Province exported over 9,700 cars worth of 140 million US Dollars, which is better that at the year of 2008, but still represents a nearly 50% drop year-on-year.
