Guangdong Receives over 1.6 billion Yuan for after-quake Reconstruction
The Guangdong Charity Federation revealed yesterday (May14th) that as of Apr 30th, over 1.6 billion Yuan of donations for after-quake reconstruction had been received but only 900 million Yuan had been distributed to quake-stricken areas such as Sichuan, Gansu, Shanxi and Chongqing. As for the remaining 700 million Yuan, some are asking questions as to the way it will be used, but the Federation merely answered said that future spending would be closely monitored by government authorities.
