A  Series  of  Economic  Statistics  Were Announced  This  Morning.
China's GDP in 2008 shows a 9% increase and its CPI growth reached nearly 6%. The Head of the National Bureau of Statistics, Ma Jiantang said that China's economy in general featured a relatively rapid growth in 2008.

40 More Bus Lines in Guangzhou to Be Added to Operation
From January 28th to February 19th, 40 more night bus lines will be added throughout Guangzhou. The fares will rise slightly for lines heading to Panyu and Nansha Districts, respectively 10 Yuan and 20 Yuan.

Strong Cold front to Hit Guangdong Tomorrow
A strong cold front entered northern China yesterday (Jan 21) and it is expected to hit Guangdong tomorrow (Jan 23). Under the influence of the cold front, Guangdong will experience a severe northern wind and an abrupt drop in temperatures on Thursday and Friday. The temperatures are expected to drop by a maximum of 10 degrees in the north and 8 degrees in other areas of the province.
